Ο Ίαν είναι συνθετικός ψυχοθεραπεύτης και ψυχολόγος. Εξιδικεύεται στην υποστήριξη ενηλίκων, γονέων και ζευγαριών. Ο Ίαν είναι επίσης προσωποκεντρικός ψυχοθεραπευτής και δουλεύει με παιδιά και τις οικογένειες τους. Αναλαμβάνει θεραπευόμενους/ες στα ελληνικά και στα αγγλικά.
Robert Ian Kibet Ouko Babu
Ian is a Kenyan-Greek licensed Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist with a unique background in nursing, translation, social work and community advocacy. He is fluent in both English and Greek and is a registered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Greek Counseling Association. He holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently finishing his psychotherapy training in Person-Centered and Experiential Focusing Counseling and Psychotherapy, at the Hellenic Focusing Center in Athens.
Ian is creative and personally involved. His approach is integrative, drawing from Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT, and other therapeutic models to tailor his interventions to meet the needs of his clients. Over the past decade, he has successfully worked with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, family trauma, and more
Ian's foundation in Person-Centered Psychotherapy allows him to incorporate expressive tools like Drawing, Music, Spirituality and Photography into his work, making therapy inclusive and engaging.
Moreover, Ian's specialized training in Child and Adolescent-oriented therapy equips him to effectively support young clients, which further enriches his work with adults. He has extensive experience in grassroots community health and mental health promotion, having collaborated with esteemed organizations like Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), SOS Villages Greece, Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Velos Youth, Metadrasi, and the United Nations Commission Against Torture (UNCAT).
Ian's commitment to social change and mental health advocacy is evident through his involvement in advisory boards and policy groups such as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Greek Forum of Refugees, Voicify EU, Vana Ba Afrika, Velos Youth, and more. He also coordinates the Mi-Health HIV partnership in Greece and is currently serving as a Psychotherapist and Counselor at SOS Villages Greece, offering therapy and counseling services to diverse local and European migrant communities.
